New Video Site and A Guest Blog All in One Awesome Day
For those of you who do not know, I organized a Meetup group called Chicago-DIY-Web-Networkers. It is geared toward self employed and small business owners and managers who want to take a hands on approach to marketing their businesses on the Web. It is face to face rather than learning by reading and watching videos.
We meet in several locations within various northwest Chicago suburbs. One main purpose is to help newbies get up on the Web quickly using WordPress. Another is to share knowledge about on-site SEO (search engine optimization) and off-site E-marketing through use of free Social Media tools. And, of course, strengthening LinkedIn profiles and marketing you business.
The above video is something I started in our Meetups called Join the Discussion. If someone allows me to video a questions, I will answer it, put it up on YouTube, write about it here and also post on the Meetup site. All to show the value of YouTube and other video marketing.
So I want to say thank you to Barnet of The Ticket Doctor for being the first to let me try this out. I also helped him get his site up quickly before we recently went on vacation. He is just getting started, so give him a hand and visit his site. He uses a free WordPress theme with a lot of plugins. Of course his host is none other than BlueHost, and he raves about them and the tutorials! Read more about why I love BlueHost.

Thanks to my friend Andy for allowing me to guest blog on his blog – My Twitter Goal. We met at a recent face to face business after hours sponsored by a local chamber of commerce. And, of course, I wrote about one of my favorite subjects: An Introduction to LinkedIn, Where Business Is Conducted on a Different Social Media Platform.
