Information for Newbie Web Masters – Web Jargon and Parts of A Website

Formula for a Basic Business Web SiteWhen I teach, coach or mentor I feel an obligation to ensure my students have a complete understanding and working knowledge of basics.  As in building a house or any building,  you cannot build very high without a solid foundation.  The structure may not withstand the force of even a mild earthquake. Witness the recent devastation in Haiti as versus Chile.

This spring I teach two courses for the local park district.  The first is an introduction to the Web for beginners. The class will be repeated again this summer.  I developed two slide show presentations for last week’s initial session.   Outlines of the two slide presentations are available on my main Web site.

The first is called Web Jargon for Beginners and is found on the Web Definitions page.  The second is Parts of a Small Business Website – Introduction and is found on my Website Starter page.  The latter also has pictures and names of major parts of a site.
